Foxx shared that after being rushed to the hospital, he was initially sent home by doctors after receiving a cortisone injection. However, his sister came to visit him and noticed he didn’t seem like himself, prompting her to take him to Piedmont Hospital. He recalled the moment when the doctor informed his family that he had suffered a brain bleed, which had caused a stroke. The doctor reportedly said, “If I don’t operate on his brain right now, we’re going to lose him.” Despite the urgent procedure, the doctors were unable to pinpoint the source of the brain bleed.

In 2023, when news of his serious condition surfaced, many people speculated online about his illness. However, when Foxx was discharged from the hospital, he addressed the rumors by posting a video on social media in July, where he denied claims that he was blind or paralyzed.
