He promises to send Speed back to prison if he offends him again.Speed Darlington, Burna Boy

Nigerian singer Burna Boy has issued a strong warning to Speed Darlington, who was recently released from prison after a two-month detention for cyberstalking offenses.

In the early hours of January 22, 2025, the Grammy Award-winning artist took to his Instagram Story to caution the social media personality against crossing him.

“Misbehave again if you like, and you’ll end up back where you came from! This time, there’ll be no mercy! #Dontmesswithodg”

Speed Darlington was initially arrested in October 2024 after Burna Boy filed a petition with the police against him.

The incident began on the night of October 7, 2024, when an SOS was posted on Speed’s Instagram, claiming he had been missing for three days and urging anyone with information to come forward.

However, the situation took a dramatic turn when Speed Darlington’s mother revealed that her son had been declared missing after posting a video about Burna Boy. In the video, she pleaded with the singer to show mercy and release her son.

This came after Speed Darlington had uploaded a video accusing Burna Boy of having ties to American rapper Diddy, who had recently been arrested on charges of sex trafficking and other crimes. The video quickly gained attention, and following Speed Darlington’s arrest, he became the subject of widespread online discussion.

He was later re-arrested on November 27, 2024, while performing in Owerri, Imo State, on charges of cyberstalking the singer. He has since been released on bail.
