The Hollywood former lovebirds will cease to be officially married by February.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, the iconic couple, have amicably finalized their divorce. Their two-year marriage will officially end on February 20, 2025, according to court documents obtained by E! News on January 6.
The terms of the divorce settlement have been described as mutually agreeable. As part of the agreement, both Lopez and Affleck will retain the earnings they each accumulated during their marriage. Additionally, neither party will be required to pay spousal support.
Lopez will return to using her maiden name, “Lopez,” after previously changing it to “Affleck” following their wedding.
Lopez filed for divorce in Los Angeles on August 20, 2024, citing April 26, 2024, as the date of their separation. Interestingly, the filing date coincided with the anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony in 2022, which followed their first elopement in Las Vegas.
Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, initially met in 2002 while filming Gigli, which was released the following year. At the time, Lopez was married to her second husband, Cris Judd, but they divorced in 2003. Shortly after, Lopez and Affleck began their high-profile romance. Lopez had been married three times before marrying Affleck.
