OdumoduBlvck has a lot of praise for Mavin Records founder Don Jazzy.In a new interview with Beats FM, OdumoduBlvck spoke on his latest project, a joint project as a member of the Anti-World Gangsters crew. The album titled ‘Nothing Changed’ featured a guest appearance from Don Jazzy on the track ‘Asampete’.Narrating how he got the Mavin Records label boss Don Jazzy on the track, OdumoduBvlck shared that after recording the song, he felt the track needed Don Jazzy who agreed to his request.
The rapper further shared that when he met Don Jazzy to get him to add his vocals to the song, the legendary producer gave him $10,000 cash while also refusing to take any royalties for his contribution.“When I went to his house to get his vocals, he gave me $10,000 and even my friend was asking me why he gave me such a huge amount of money,” he narrated in the interview.OdumoduBlvck further praised Don Jazzy who he described as a real don for being the most original personality in the Nigerian music industry.“There’s nobody more original than Don Jazzy…The way the younger artists look up to Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, and Olamide today is how they used to look up to Don Jazzy”.
