Google has revealed the most searched song lyrics of 2024 in Nigeria.
At the top of the list is Ogechi by Brown Joel, Boy Pee, and Hyce, which became the most searched song lyrics after listeners eagerly sought to learn the catchy track. Released in May 2024, Ogechi initially gained popularity in Eastern Nigeria before going viral on TikTok and eventually becoming a mainstream hit.
Coming in second is Ozeba, a standout track from Rema’s sophomore album HEIS. The song quickly became a fan favorite, thanks to its infectious up-tempo production, energetic delivery, and vibrant street influences.
Other notable tracks in the top 10 include Omemma by gospel artist Chandler Moore, Marhaba by Kizz Daniel, and Comma by Ayra Starr.
Interestingly, late American rapper XXXTentacion appears as the only non-Nigerian artist in the top 10, with his song Hope being widely searched. Additionally, the lyrics of Nigeria’s new national anthem also made it onto the list due to widespread interest.
